The Boat

Our mission is to explore the islands of the east Caribbean on a 46' Catamaran, beginning from Martinique and travelling North through Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat and perhaps St Kitts.

We hereby agree to drive forward through the hardships thrown up by the clear blue seas, the local food and the dreadful beaches all while forcing ourselves through the pain of champagne breakfasts, cocktails, and just generally lazing around.

We are currently preparing mentally for this gruelling, and no doubt historic, task.

Once we are underway (we pick up the boat on the 25th October 2003) we will be trying to keep a record of our voyage on this site, including the route that we have taken and some of our photos. Click here or use the Holiday! link on the left to monitor our progress.

For the Gang...

Information about each of the islands we will/may be visiting can be found on the Islands page. There is plenty of information on these pages to allow us to plan some of our stops. Thanks to Helen and Jan for their research.

The Route page, accessed from the Holiday! page, provides a zoom-able set of Garmin chart images that can be used to get an idea of the route we could take and appropriate anchorages. This page includes a proposed route which will undoubtedly be updated once we all get together and start arguing! Once we are underway it is hoped that we can upload our updated route plans and our GPS track history to the site. These will be superimposed on the charts.

A description of the Bahia 46 can be found on the Boat page including pictures and specifications.
